An Official Introduction

April 13, 2007

Hello and welcome to Cantor 4 Christ.

My name is John and I am a Junior in High School. I am a practicing Catholic and a cantor at my parish. This site will primarily be used to share my appreciation for liturgical music with all who care to listen by providing free recordings online. The main purpose of this blog is to provide listeners with a diversity of Christian music and Catholic audio reflections for use in personal meditation and prayer. It is my hope that through these audio clips, you may come to associate with the Love I recognize in my Savior, Jesus Christ.

This site is for all people and for all time. Even if you are not a Catholic, I invite you to browse through these songs and reflections. Whoever you are, wherever you've come from, you are most welcome here. I encourage all who listen to these songs and reflections to allow them to bring you a little bit deeper. May they inspire you with a desire to make a daily commitment to Christ through prayer and reception of the sacraments.

I ask that all of you who follow these reflections please keep me in your prayers. All of us have been given certain gifts and talents with which we are to help bring others closer to Christ. This task is never as easy as it sounds, and it is always a work in progress. Prayer is the best means we have of supporting others in their efforts. So please do pray for me, and pray, too, for anyone else visiting this site. Pray that they might be inspired to share their own gifts and talents with others for the greater glory of God. Your prayer may be just what is needed to impact that person's life forever.

Finally, I ask for a special intention. As you commit yourself to these petitions, please pray for my discernment. Please pray that God shows me through the little everyday things, what he desires of me in this life.
